Including:
A very fine Estate St. Veran
A Top End Russian River Chardonnay at an Everyday Price
Some Rhones at 21, Old Enough to Drink
An Excellent Tuscan Red

Many of the wines sold out, the most popular being the Deux Roches St. Veran some of the Jaboulet Crozes and the Bevan Cellars Chardonnay. We have from bottles to a couple of cases left of the wines below.

The White Wines:
Deux Roches is a label of Collovray & Terrier, premier producers in the Maconnais. This older vines St. Veran is rarely seen in the United States. it was good value at its original $30 price. It's great value now at less than $20 by the case. We have five cases of the 2015 and one of the very mature 2014
2015 Deux Roches St. Veran Vieilles Vignes; Aroma: oaky heady rather dense, full, , rather richm rathr full; Mouth: clean fine acidl juicy pretty fine acid, clean soft older fruit, errthaer vibrant, nice balance between fruit and fine acidity; Very Good Plus Was $30 Now 22.99; Mixed Case, 19.79; Case, 18.69 2 cases of 2015, 1 case 2014 left
2014 Bevan Cellars Ritchie Vineyard
Bevan Cellars is a top producer of California Chardonnay and Cabernet. The distyributor had to make room for the new vintage. Much as we love this wine, we have to do likewise.
Robert Parker wrote that this wine "reveals honeyed apricot, white peach, wet pebbles and floral notes. It is rich, full-bodied, loaded with minerality and extremely pure, with the oak well-concealed. This should drink well for 4-5 years, if not longer."
My notes are from last fall:
2014 Bevan Cellars Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard; Aroma: very bright fleshy bvery dese rather rich oka lined, citrus & melon; Mouth: juicy very rich clean thick, nice texture rather fruity, juicy light wood finish; Very Good - Excellent ; Was $79 Now $35 NET bottles left
Red

The 80s and 90s were the heyday for the Jaboulet family's northern Rhone Syrahs. Famous for their Hermitage La Chapellel, they were appreciated by wine lovers for their well priced Crozes Hermitage. We recently acquired some oftheir single vineyard botttling from 1994 and 1997. The current releases of these wines retail from $30 a bottle to $50 for the Thalabert.
Wines age like people. What is lost in vigor, strength, and flesh, is compensated by gains in wisdom and suavity. At least one would hope.
These Jaboulets are not crotchety dotards, sharp and vinegary. Their youthful fruit has faded, but they have mellowed and smoothed out. One caveat: wine bottles, like human siblings, can diverge as they age. Although we will open bottles of each, the bottle you buy might not be the same as the bottle you tasted at the store. The experience is, we think, worth the risk. Do not open ahead, They will fade quickly.
1997 Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage Raymond Roure 19.99; Mixed Case, 17.99 bottles left
