2004 Garofoli Rosso Conero Riserva Grosso Agontano

Rare and Exclusive
November 21, 2017

Barolo Country

On my trip to Italy last spring, the biggest surprise and eye opener happened in the Marche. Over dinner Gianluca Garofoli and I had his 2004, 1998, and 1994 Rosso Conero Riserva. It was an amazing discovery what this wine becomes with age. Of course I asked if there were any cases available. Gianluca said that all he could offer was one 3L bottle of the 1998 and a few cases of the 2004. The 2004 Garofoli Rosso Conero Riserva Grosso Agontano will amaze you as well. It is drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop for at least ten more years.
Rosso Conero is the best area in the Marche to grow Montepulciano. Garofoli is the oldest winery in the Marche and they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to wine. I am really happy to be able to offer this wine to you. This is a deep, layered red with great balance and complexity and a joy to drink.
