The question of the day is this. Why does a distillery take 109 years to release its first single malt? You ‘ll taste the answer in your glass of Ardmore Distillery’s first single malt bottling since it opened in 1898, After traditional cask maturation, this highland whisky is finished in 125 liter quarter casks to enhance the whisky’s flavor with a lot of wood. Prior to this the only Ardmore bottlings were scarce and sought after releases from independent distillers.
